Playing this game I was surprised how building nonsensical sentences can be helpful for recording right grammar schemes in my brain! For me, speaking natively in fusional language, English grammar sometimes looks really awkward. It really helps!

Its a terrible waste of time and frustrating. Its not fun either so I deleted it. Good riddance
Very cool concept that is ripe for building on. I wish all my sentences from the round were saved and strung together at the end of the round. Id like a toggle button change all the tenses to plural for just that round. Maybe itd be cool if themes/genres could be applied to the words, too, e.g. fairy tale, Shakespearan, mystery. That sort of thing. Keep building this game!
This game is an intuitive and creative approach to sharpening language and grammar skills. Best of all, its really fun!
This is a great and fun idea for a game, but it doesnt work well. Most sentences I create are not accepted by the game even though theyre grammatically correct. Its frustrating and not really worth the effort. Also it badly needs Game Center Leaderboards.
Great fun. I love the challenge of putting together silly sentences.
A lot of fun but the grammar needs a bit of improvement and some words show up over and over again. A quiet game that can subtly trigger ideas.
I enjoyed playing sleep furiously on a long airplane trip. I found myself trying to remember grammar rules in order to create the longest string.
Fun app! Could be used as an interesting name generator.
Sleep Furiously is the first word game Ive seen that combines the random elements of Scrabble or Boggle with sentence construction instead of simply forming words -- and its quite absorbing. I keep sneaking time with the game and sessions often go longer than I thought because I cant seem to put it down. Like Mad Libs, the player creates amusing nonsense sentences, but, unlike Mad Libs, it has the player find long sentences for higher scores from a grid of displayed words that are replaced as the game goes on. Many of the words chosen will appeal to a younger audience (wizards, dinosaurs, ugly, gnomes, amazingly, clobber), but the playing of the game can be quite sophisticated, embedding sentences as much as possible for the highest points. Because the next word must always be touching the last one in the grid, it can also be quite a challenge to scan the grid for a possible route. There is a timed mode for speed, a moves mode that allows 5 sentences, and an endless mode. If you want a game that will a engage either adults or young learners, and can slyly draw them into making complex sentences without saying the words "adjective clause," this is a great choice. Quirkily addictive. A solid five stars.
I havent put this down since I bought it (& I almost never buy apps, which tells you how excited I was when I read about this game). Its my daily dose of DADA! Love the accidental poetry; "the pizza ate me", " the oceans drank me". As well as some actual (deep) insights. Having said that I have to be honest and confess that I think its in need of a larger vocabulary and some conjunctions. Also, some words can be nouns & verbs, but not so here. It would be sweet if that could be worked out. And lastly, and most far fetched, a haiku mode?? OK, maybe I need to just get a different app for that. Whatever, I will continue to enjoy sleeping furiously, and looking forward to the updates!
Sleep furiously is challenging, whimsical, and entertaining, being the word- and language-lover that I am. Sentences created can be totally goofy or possibly creative and inspiring; either way, this word game is lots of fun!
If you have a surreal sense of humor, this is a good game for you. Earn points by constructing long sentences out of random words.
My daughter and I have had a great time trying to out-weird each other in this game. Good clean fun. It demands grammatical awareness and a sense of whimsy.
The updates just keep this game growing in complexity!
This game is quite brilliant and very fun, but its pretty easy to just make 17-word-long sentences that are grammatically horrifying by abusing the games easily derailed syntax programming. I dont think a game this minimalist needs to be enjoyed on an honor code.
Really neat seeing what crazy sentences you can come up with.
This is a strangely beautiful nonsense sentence maker. As a game mechanic, its both original and fun.
This is a great little game! Im not sure if its intended specifically for kids, but Im 51 and love it :-). Its a unique blend of a game+creative writing ... You make sentences with the words provided. I like that you have a choice of playing against the clock, or playing leisurely, with the goal of making the longest sentences possible. The one thing that bothers me is that I cannot find any instructions, or explanations of the game -- I just figured it out on my own, but I dont know if Im doing it right.
Many married men may move most monoliths mostly mentioned marvelously. Also, I have fun now and again seeing how far I can stretch english to accommodate absurdities. Quite fascinating, and I would imagine it could help teach kids about language. I would recommend making a tile change to a different color where it breaks the sentence, so as to assist in fixing it.... Or some such similar scenario.
